Custodian of Policy

Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

Policy

All graduate students who wish to continue to have access to university services and resources must register for at least one graduate-level credit. In all circumstances, students must enroll for at least one graduate credit during the semester or summer session they wish to graduate and earn a graduate degree

Procedure

Students will be advised within their programs and will be reminded of this policy each academic term by the College of Graduate Studies and Research. Students who are submitting graduation applications will have their transcripts audited to ensure that they are in compliance with the policy.

Rationale

Graduate students who are not enrolled often hope to continue to work on their remaining degree program requirements, and to secure library privileges, IT services, consultation with faculty advisors, etc. This policy is intended to have students contribute to the funding of these services.
