Pets on Campus

Policy

The bringing of pets into University buildings is prohibited; those on University grounds must be under the owner’s supervision and control.  If security personnel discover a pet not under control, they will attempt to locate the owner before calling the city police. 

Persons seeking accommodations related to an Emotional Service Animal (ESA) should contact the Office of Accessibility Services.

Service animals are not classified as pets.  Minnesota State University, Mankato is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to persons with disabilities and fulfilling its responsibilities under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA).  For additional information and Service Animal Guidelines, contact the Office of Accessibility Resources.
