Gender-Based Violence Prevention Training

Minnesota State University, Mankato fully supports the reduction of sexual harassment and sexual misconduct on our campus and state Statute 135A.15 that requires students to complete comprehensive gender-based violence prevention training. Your participation in this required training is an investment in the safety of our campus.

Each degree-seeking, certificate-seeking, PSEO students, as well as others deemed appropriate by Minnesota State University, Mankato, are required to complete an online Gender-Based Violence Prevention Training course. This course replaces the former Sexual Violence Prevention Training (2019-2025) online course. If you have previously completed the Sexual Violence Prevention Training at Minnesota State University, Mankato and received a certificate of completion you will NOT need to take the new Gender-Based Violence Prevention Training course.

Likewise, if you have completed a similar Gender-Based Violence Prevention Training at a previous Minnesota State college or university, you will NOT need to take the training. If assigned the training and you do not believe you should have been assigned the training, please contact the Office of Equal Opportunity & Title IX.
