Budget Town Halls are held periodically to inform the campus community on budget items.

The open forums were held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 12 p.m. (noon) – 1 p.m. in CSU245 and on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 2-3pm in Ostrander Auditorium in the CSU.

Strategic Budget Planning Open Forum (FY17)
The Informational Open Forum on February 23, 2017, presented current work by members of the Budget, Planning and Assessment & Evaluation Sub-Meet and Confers to develop a General Fund Strategic Budget Planning Process. The goal of the General Fund Strategic Budget Planning Process is to create a foundation for future strategic investments and growth opportunities within the University, even during times when new tuition or state appropriation revenues may be limited. The General Fund Strategic Budget Planning Process being developed is anticipated to be used on an ongoing basis as a foundation for strategic allocation/reallocation of university resources in future fiscal years. Minnesota State University, Mankato currently is operating with a structurally balanced budget and is in sound financial status.

FY15-17 Budget Planning
Budget forecasts will be presented as well as preliminary discussions of options of how to handle current and projected budget shortfalls. We will also discuss how to remain committed to strategic investments and growth opportunities in challenging budget environments.
