Summer Semester
Departmental Funding Sources - Student Help
There is no minimum enrollment requirement for student workers paid from departmental funds provided they are registered, or plan to register, for courses during the upcoming fall semester. Undergraduates may work a maximum of forty (40) hours per week. This would be a maximum of eighty (80) hours during each ten-day payroll period. Graduate students in Graduate Status may work a maximum of 28 work hours during each ten-day payroll period.
Federal or State Work Study Funding Sources
Federal and State work study students must be enrolled for a minimum of six (6) credit hours for the summer semester. Federal and State work study students may only work during the start and end dates indicated on their work study work authorization form.Undergraduate students may work a maximum of forty (40) hours per week. This would be a maximum of eighty (80) hours during a ten-day payroll period, but must not exceed the amount of their work study award.Graduate students (graduate status) may work a maximum of 28 work hours for each ten day payroll period, but must not exceed the total amount of their work study award. Graduate Assistants
Summer graduate assistantships are permitted with proration in the stipend, hours per week of work, and may offer tuition waiver. There is no minimum enrollment requirement for summer graduate assistants provided they are registered, or plan to register, for courses during the upcoming fall semester.
Interim Session
Regular student help employees
Regular student help employees may work during the interim, prior to fall semester, if they are registered for Fall semester or have signed a statement of intent to attend Fall semester.
Undergraduate students are allowed a maximum of forty (40) hours per week or a maximum of eighty (80) hours during each ten-day payroll period.Graduate Students (graduate status) may work a maximum of 28 hours each ten day payroll period.
Students who graduate:
- at the conclusion of the Spring semester may continue to work until the beginning of the Summer semester.
- at the conclusion of Fall semester may continue to work until the beginning of Spring Semester.
- at the conclusion of Summer semester may continue to work until the beginning of Fall semester.
Federal and State Work Study students
Federal and State work study students may work during the interim if this period of time is on their work authorization form.
