The Blue Cross Vision plan, partnered with Davis Vision, is optional and designed to supplement your family’s medical coverage. While our medical plan covers your eye exam, the Blue Cross Vision plan helps cover the costs of eyeglasses or contact lenses and offers discounts on LASIK and more.

The State Employee Group Insurance Program offers a basic life insurance in which you are automatically enrolled at the time you become a benefits-eligible employee of Minnesota state government. SEGIP also offers additional supplemental life insurance which you may purchase on an optional basis.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), once known as pre-tax spending accounts, offered by SEGIP can provide you with substantial tax savings by paying your health and dental plan premiums, eligible dependent care, medical, dental, and transportation expenses with pre-tax dollars.
